Ducks Unlimited to race under the lights this weekend at Bristol

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Ducks Unlimited (DU) duck head will fly under the lights at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend thanks to generous donations from Bass Pro Shops.

Martin Truex Jr. will race the No. 78 Bass Pro Shops/Ducks Unlimited car while Ryan Newman will drive the No. 31 Cabela’s/Ducks Unlimited car during the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series on Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tenn.

“All of us at Bass Pro Shops are honored to donate these special paint schemes as a tribute to Ducks Unlimited and their ongoing commitment to conservation and education,” said Johnny Morris, founder/CEO of Bass Pro Shops. “Conservation is the only way we can ensure our grandchildren and their children will have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors like our generation has.”

The special paint schemes were generous donations by Bass Pro Shops, and millions of people will see the DU logo thanks to Bass Pro Shops.

“It’s amazing to think that the DU logo will grace not one, but two, cars this weekend at Bristol,” said DU CEO Dale Hall. “What’s better is that both paint schemes were donations by Bass Pro Shops. Bass Pro Shops’ generosity and commitment to conservation never cease to amaze me. We are truly honored to have great friends like them.”

The race is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. EST on Saturday evening.
