Comp-Tac Wins Big At World Championship

Company Shooters Representing USA in IPSC World Championships Win Big!

Comp-Tac Victory Gear managers are world champions

Comp-Tac Victory Gear, LLC, Houston, TX - Comp-Tac Victory Gear employees won big representing the United States in IPSC World Championships.

A couple of weeks ago we sent you information on these two company managers at top tier holster and accessory maker Comp-Tac Victory Gear who were selected to represent the United States in the massive IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) world championships. This year's championships were held in Chateauroux France with hundreds of competitors from 19 countries.

They did great! Sales manager Randi Rogers won gold on the U.S. Ladies Production Pistol team and took bronze in the individual championship. There were 487 competitors in that one bracket alone! Randi is a many-time world, U.S., and you name it handgun champion in everything from SASS, IDPA, IPSC, USPSA and whatever, for 20 years (and counting!).

Comp-Tac's general manager Gordon Carrell won Gold on the U.S. Men's Production Pistol team match. He is a winner in multiple IDPA state, regional and national championships.

This is all the more significant since these two U.S. team member's houses and the company factory were caught in the Houston hurricane and due to flooded roads no one could get to them to check the situation. With that weighing heavily on them both some 4,700 miles away it is very impressive they could still concentrate, perform and win at a world class level. Days later both learned their houses and the Comp-Tac Victory Gear factory were not damaged.

Says Rogers--"We are really thrilled and proud to have done well for the honor of representing the United States. Comp-Tac Victory Gear believes strongly in first-hand proving its products,"

"I am extremely happy our U.S. Team did so well at these world championships--it is also further proof our holsters and accessories, used by many U.S. and foreign competitors at those matches really work as designed."--Gordon Carrell, General Manager.

More stuff...

The 2017 IPSC World Championship matches in France consisted of 30 scenario stages shot over the course for six days in several categories using a minimum of 501 rounds of ammunition per competitor.

U.S. Team and individual competitor qualification was tough! In order to begin to qualify for the U.S. Team, shooters must have competed in both the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) and IPSC National Championships for the last two years. Their combined scores are ranked on how they finished in these major national championships - and only if those scores are high enough do they even get offered a slot on the U.S. team.

Overall medal count for top three of 19 countries at this year's world championships:

FIRST: United States: 13 Gold, 7 Silver, 5 Bronze....Total 23
SECOND: Russia: 5 Gold, 3 Silver, 5 Bronze............Total 13
THIRD: Italy: 4 Gold, 3 Silver, 4 Bronze...................Total 11
