Women for Gun Rights, a nationwide organization of women committed to safeguarding the Second Amendment, publicly backed H.R. 38, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, by Representative Richard Hudson (NC-9).
“Our organization firmly believes that you are your own first responder and threats to personal safety do not end when yoxu cross state lines,” said Dianna Muller, Founder of Women for Gun Rights. “H.R. 38 is a significant step toward ensuring that law-abiding gun owners can protect themselves and their families from harm no matter where they travel in the United States.”
The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would allow individuals with a valid concealed carry permit issued in their home state to carry a concealed firearm in any other state that recognizes concealed carry rights. This legislation addresses the complex patchwork of state laws that currently hinder responsible gun owners and puts them at risk of legal jeopardy when crossing state lines.
“Our Second Amendment rights are not limited by arbitrary state boundaries,” added Beth Walker, WGR member and former professional competitive shooter. “H.R. 38 is about safety, consistency, and ensuring that all Americans can defend themselves and exercise their rights effectively.”
Women for Gun Rights commends Rep. Hudson for his unwavering commitment to protecting the Second Amendment and advancing legislation that promotes safety and individual freedom. The organization encourages lawmakers from both sides of the aisle to join this vital effort to support law-abiding gun owners nationwide.
Women for Gun Rights is a non-partisan initiative of daughters, mothers, and sisters who believe education is the key to firearm safety and violence prevention, not legislation. The national organization counters the disinformation that gun control groups circulate by informing friends, families, communities, and legislators with the truth that gun rights are human rights.
