Bibb County Public Fishing Lake will reopen on April 26, 2025, under the operation of new lake managers Micah and Amanda Dean. The lake had been temporarily closed during the transition of operations to the new lake managers. The lake is located at 1147 Walter Owens Parkway in West Blocton, Alabama.
The facility features a 100-acre lake, public restrooms, multiple covered fishing piers and a boat ramp. Bait, fishing tackle and snacks may be purchased at the lake. In addition to a valid fishing license, a daily $5 fishing permit is required.
Alabama’s State Public Fishing Lakes are located throughout the state and are managed by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) for quality fishing for largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, channel catfish and crappie (in most lakes).
