The Kansas One Shot Turkey Hunt, now in its third year, celebrates Kansas’s hunting heritage by bringing together nearly fifty hunters from across the country to pursue the elusive “thunder chicken” in the scenic Flint Hills. Central to the event’s mission is a commitment to passing on hunting traditions to Kansas youth, with five young hunters selected annually to participate in this immersive and inspiring experience.
