Burris Optics Sponsors 2025 Precision Tactical 2-Rifle Match

Greeley, CO – Burris Optics is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2025 Precision Tactical 2-Rifle Match, taking place April 26–27, 2025 at the NRA Whittington Center in Coal Canyon, New Mexico.

This unique event challenges competitors with eight dynamic stages designed to test their skills with two rifles—an AR-15 (.223 only) and a precision rifle (.223 to .300 Win. Mag). Participants must carry all their gear—bipods, packs, rangefinders, slings, and optics—and be ready for everything from up-close engagements to 1,000-yard precision shots. Match stages include both Field and Stationary formats, pushing competitors to transition smoothly between rifles while managing gear, movement, and target acquisition under pressure.

The NRA Whittington Center, nestled in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, provides a world-class backdrop for this tactical challenge.

“We’re excited to welcome Burris Optics back as a sponsor for this year’s Precision Tactical 2-Rifle Match,” said Match Director Brad Riley. “When it comes to reliable optics that deliver under pressure, Burris is the real deal—and our shooters trust that. It’s always great to see familiar faces returning and new shooters stepping up too, and it’s support from companies like Burris that allows us to keep raising the bar and pushing the limits of precision rifle competition.”

Burris is excited to highlight its all-new XTR Precision Shooter (XTR PS) riflescope, built for matches just like this. Designed for competitive and long-range tactical shooters, the XTR PS features the advanced P?K™ (Programmable Elevation Knob) system and an integrated HUD for fast, accurate dialing. Combined with rugged construction, a 34mm main tube, and crystal-clear ED glass, it redefines precision optics.

The XTR PS HUD delivers real-time data—including elevation, wind hold, angle compensation, and a new countdown timer—all powered by custom ballistic profiles via the BurrisConnect™ app.

Available in 3-18x50 and 5.5-30x56 models, with illuminated SCR 2™ FFP reticle and dual-color display, the XTR PS is purpose-built to give shooters a competitive edge.
