DSC is excited to announce the hiring of Scott Fowler to the position of Convention Services Coordinator.

Originally from Natchitoches, LA, Scott interned with DSC during the 2024 DSC Convention & Sporting Expo, gaining valuable experience while providing tremendous assistance to the DSC staff, volunteers and attendees. Scott graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

“I served as the DSC Registration & Convention Intern for two months, where I was able to assist in the planning and execution of the 2024 DSC Convention & Sporting Expo,” Scott said. “My experience during this time allowed me to develop a deep appreciation for the team and the mission of DSC. I am very excited to begin my career with DSC and am eager to help in their ongoing work and future success.”

“Scott is mature beyond his years and brings a work ethic that is hard to find these days,” said DSC Convention Events Manager Khris Harris. “He quicky showed tangible and intangible business acumen and strengths during his six-week internship with DSC as he worked alongside our staff, Convention Chairs, DSC100 and Board to help produce the 2024 DSC Convention & Sporting Expo. As Convention Services Coordinator, Scott will help DSC continually improve our convention and event registration, hotel reservations, vendor partnerships development, banquet, and event production. Scott will also assist our exhibits team with projects to help produce our first-in-class exhibition. I am extremely excited Scott is on the DSC team. I know he is going to make a positive impact on our organization, members, and industry.”

While not a hunter growing up, Scott is ready to learn all he can about the outdoors this fall.

“I am genuinely excited to learn more about hunting through my new role at DSC,” he said. “I look forward to immersing myself in the hunting community, understanding its traditions and values, and contributing to DSC's mission. My goal in this new role is to help DSC reach an even larger audience and grow our message through events like the 2025 DSC Convention & Sporting Expo in Atlanta, Georgia, while also helping to create a show that our incredible members can all be proud of.”

Scott also served as the President of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Interfraternity Council (IFC), and Order of Omega.
