EAST ALTON, IL — NRA American Rifleman has awarded Winchester 21 Sharp with the prestigious Golden Bullseye Award for 2025 Ammunition Product of the Year. Winchester will be recognized and receive the award during a special breakfast at the 2025 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Atlanta, Georgia.
“Winning the NRA American Rifleman Golden Bullseye is a proud moment for our team,” said Kyle Massanelli, Senior Director of Product Innovation and Strategy for Winchester Ammunition. “This achievement is a direct result of our relentless dedication to pushing the boundaries of ammunition technology. Through intense research and development from our highly skilled engineers, we continue to innovate and refine our products to deliver unmatched performance and reliability to hunters and shooting sports participants.”
Selected by a team of NRA staff with more than a century of collective experience in the shooting and hunting industry, the Golden Bullseye Award recognizes the most innovative and reliable products available for hunting and the shooting sports.
21 Sharp is an evolution in rimfire technology and performance. Built from the ground up for enhanced accuracy and on-target performance with both lead and lead-free projectiles. Ammo manufacturers have tried with little success to incorporate lead-free projectiles into use in the venerable 22 Long Rifle (LR) cartridge. While those products are available, none have ever met the accuracy and performance that a lead projectile can provide due to the original 22 LR design. The 21 Sharp rimfire cartridge from Winchester was purposefully designed to provide top tier performance with lead-free projectiles rather than accommodating them later.
