Wildlife Forever’s newly acquired program, “Getting Families Fishing & Boating Initiative”, formerly the Future Angler Foundation, has a new home and will continue its mission to “Create New Anglers and Boaters”.
Through a recently awarded U.S. Coast Guard grant, Wildlife Forever will partner with Into The Outdoors television program to create new content geared for youth and families. A vast distribution network through Public Broadcasting Service will allow the programs and free educational materials to reach millions of viewers.
The Getting Families Fishing and Boating Initiative will also continue a close collaboration with the National Professional Angler Association (NPAA) and members who donate their time, passion, and knowledge to support the program. NPAA members and organizations that host youth fishing clinics can apply for free fishing equipment and educational materials focused on Clean Drain Dry invasive species messaging.
“The Getting Families Fishing & Boating Initiative will be a powerful extension of Wildlife Forever’s legacy programs that leverage partnerships to deliver true on-the- ground programs,” said Pat Conzemius, President & CEO.
“I look forward to helping Wildlife Forever grow this important program. Recruiting and retaining boaters and anglers is critical to help assure that these activities will continue into the future”, said Pat Neu, former President of the Future Angler Foundation.
