The Turkey Tracker is built for run-and-gun gobbler hunters who demand ready access to essential gear in a lightweight, fully supported system that won’t wear you down on high-mobility hunts.
The Turkey Tracker builds on the popular ALPS OutdoorZ Long Spur turkey pack while taking a more minimalist approach to the suspension and accessory pouch systems. In doing so, ALPS OutdoorZ designers came up with a “just-what-you-need” and “right-where-you-need-it” pack that is perfect for high-exertion hunts in changing environmental and stalking conditions.
The Turkey Tracker system is built around a comfortable and supportive memory foam waist belt with front-pull belt adjustment to ensure a snug fit and sag-free performance. For heavy loads, or to ensure maximum support when climbing, crawling, or fast-tracking to a setup, the Turkey Tracker comes with a removable 1.5-inch two-point suspender system. The suspenders are adjustable to custom-fit your torso length and to accommodate changing clothing requirements.
Securely stitched to the memory foam waistband is MOLLE webbing that accepts a wide range of accessory attachments. Attachments that come with the Turkey Tracker include a removable structured pot call pocket (holds two pot calls, three strikers, and other accessories), a removable box call pocket (structured, padded, and adjustable to fit assorted box call designs), and a removable ThermaCell pocket.
The Turkey Tracker’s primary storage comes via the hybrid lumbar/fanny pack system. The compartment can be worn in back as a lumbar pack when on-the-move and easily and quietly rotated to the front in fanny pack style when setting up on a bird.
The top lid features a magnetic closure system for silent access to the large main compartment. There is a zippered mesh pocket in the lid that offers convenient storage for small items like keys, diaphragm calls, and spare batteries, and there is a second zippered pocket inside the main compartment for additional items. Outside, the pack hosts a side accessory pocket suitable for ammunition or rangefinder storage, a stretch water bottle holder, and a front kangaroo pocket for extra gear. There is even a stowaway pocket for hands-free carry of an ALPS OutdoorZ Summit Trail Seat (sold separately). Finally, when the pre-dawn chill gives way to a warm morning hunt, compression straps located at the bottom of the pack can be used to secure a jacket or additional gear.
