The Garden Club of America Zone IV Fellowship in urban forestry was created to aid in the advancement of urban forestry by helping students to study the planning, management, horticulture and ecology of urban forests and the effect of healthy urban forests on people and the environment.
The fellowship is available for graduate and undergraduate students who are studying urban forestry, environmental studies, horticulture, forestry, or related courses of study with a special interest in the urban forest.
Applications must be turned in by Jan. 12 in order to be eligible to receive the $7,500 award.
