HSCF’s Hunting Matters Podcast Welcomes Jason Koger – Double Amputee, Bionic Hand Pioneer, and Inspirational Outdoorsman

Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) is proud to announce that Jason Koger, motivational speaker, adaptive outdoorsman, and the world’s first bilateral arm amputee fitted with multi-articulating bionic hands, is the featured guest on this week’s episode of the Hunting Matters podcast.

After a traumatic ATV accident in 2008 that resulted in the loss of both arms below the elbow, Jason Koger refused to let adversity define him. His incredible journey of recovery, resilience, and reinvention has inspired audiences across the globe. Today, Jason is not only a sought-after public speaker and peer support mentor—he is also an avid outdoorsman and conservation advocate who continues to live life without limitations.

In this episode, Jason shares:

  • The story behind his life-changing accident and recovery.
  • How he became a pioneer in advanced bionic prosthetics.
  • His passion for the outdoors and becoming the first bilateral arm amputee to harvest a bear with a crossbow.
  • His book, Handed a Greater Purpose.
  • The mission behind his charity event, Handing Back, which raised over $30,000 for his community.
