TUO’s AMP Puffy Pant was designed as a comfy mid-layer for the whitetail woods, cloaked with your favorite camo field pants. They’re equally as effective as an outer shell, too. The full leg zippers let you slip them on in the field if weather conditions collapse or for that long sit in the stand, serving as the ultimate insulated outer layer. As an outer shell, they’re ideal for hunters glassing for game in cold conditions before they traipse into the backcountry wearing rugged field pants and gaiters.
The AMP Puffy Pant’s easy on and off is a hallmark. “We designed the TUO AMP Puffy Pant with full leg zippers, so they can be simply slid over your field pants with your boots still on,” said TUO Marketing Director, Steve Allie.
TUO’s AMP Puffy Pant sports an intelligently insulated 2-layer design. The outer shell fabric is constructed of a blended nylon with woven ripstop, which is treated with a water repellent and offers UPF 50. The lining fabric is also composed of nylon ripstop and includes Polygiene StayFresh™ to help reduce odor from bacteria and OdorCrunch™ to capture and inhibit odors letting you wear more and wash less.
Between the layers, TUO’s AMP Puffy Pant factors in 60g of Paralite™ insulation. The lightweight and breathable insulation provides a higher fill power than similar weight polyester insulations, yielding a lighter and warmer garment with less bulk.
Function-wise, appreciate the pants’ elastic waistband with drawcord, two front hand pockets with invisible zippers, and center fly with invisible zipper. Additionally, the back bottom hem offers rib knitting for a form fit.
