Safari Club International (SCI) and SCI Foundation (SCIF) proudly support the Cabela Family Foundation as it prepares to launch Season 3 of its groundbreaking television series, Hard Truths of Conservation. The upcoming season will debut on Discovery Channel on Saturday, April 5th at 9:00 AM Eastern, marking a monumental step in bringing the message of hunting, conservation, and wildlife stewardship to a global audience.
“This is more than just a win for the hunting and conservation communities — it’s a win for everyone who values truth, science, and sustainability,” said W. Laird Hamberlin, CEO of SCI and SCIF. “We commend the Cabela Family Foundation for taking this bold step in telling the real story of conservation through hunting, and we’re proud to stand with them.”
Hard Truths of Conservation is built on the idea of challenging perceptions and educating a broader audience — especially those who may not identify as hunters — by presenting science-based truths and real-world conservation outcomes through ethical hunting.
SCI Foundation Executive Vice President, Jordan Hassler added, “The partnership with Discovery and Animal Planet is exactly the kind of leap forward our community needs. By leveraging these powerful platforms, the Cabela family is helping shape the future of wildlife conservation, and we are honored to support them every step of the way.”
