Saturday, April 27, 9 a.m. to noon
1425 S. Payne Lake Road, Barry County
Join us at Barry State Game Area for a morning of spring cleaning.
Volunteer participation makes a significant impact on our shared environment, and this is a great opportunity to spend some time in nature this weekend while giving back to the community.
The day will begin at 9 a.m. at the Yankee Springs Township Fire Department, then volunteers will disperse to various locations within the state game area to remove trash.
Dumpsters and trash bags will be provided. Volunteers will only need to bring a pair of gloves and an enthusiasm for helping our state game areas stay pristine. We hope to see you there!
Barry State Game Area consists of nearly 17,000 acres of diverse forests, wetlands and grasslands, with pockets of towering, old white oaks and rolling hills and valleys carved by glaciers. This area, open for hiking, hunting, trapping and wildlife watching, is the perfect spot to stretch your legs this spring.
