New Hiking and Biking Guide

Pick a card, any card, and the Finger Lakes' new Hiking and Biking Guide has an adventure for you.

The Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance has a new "magic trick" for visitors: a deck of 46 maps of Finger Lakes hikes or biking tours suitable for adventurers from families with kids to seasoned pros, all bound by a carabineer for easy carrying and trailside consulting.

New Hiking and Biking Guide

The cards cover trips throughout the Finger Lakes region, from trips around a lake to gorge clambering to walks on the hills high overhead. They include places to stop, eat, and sleep and are rated by length and difficulty. They include well-known trips, such as the trails in Watkins Glen State Park, and some undiscovered gems like the 23 miles of the Ontario Pathways recreational trails near Phelps, NY.

Eager hikers and bikers can go to www.letsgohikeandbike.com to see and order the complete guide for free or to download specific maps immediately.

The Finger Lakes are a spell-binding landscape of deep blue lakes, rolling green hills, and plunging cool waterfalls tucked into winding gorges. The eleven narrow and deep ice-age lakes run north and south below Lake Ontario. Rochester and Syracuse bookend small cities like Auburn, Ithaca and Geneva, and charming small towns like Skaneateles and Canandaigua. More than 110 wineries and winemakers produce world's best Riesling and other wines that pair perfectly with the area's abundant fresh and organic food.
