Expo Will Highlight Seventy-third DU Convention

MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE - Corporate sponsors and exhibitors will have the opportunity to be part of the seventy-third Ducks Unlimited annual convention as never before when DU's annual gathering comes to Central Texas with its Ducks Unlimited Sporting Expo in May 2010.

"This added component to the DU convention will offer outdoor-related exhibitors and sponsors the chance to interact with DU members and outdoor enthusiasts as part of the annual DU family reunion," said Randy Graves, DU's executive vice president. "We plan to open the Ducks Unlimited Sporting Expo to the public and we are sure that outdoorsmen and women from Texas and surrounding states will not want to miss this event."

The DU convention and Sporting Expo will be held at The Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas. The Expo begins May 28 and wraps up May 30, 2010, and will offer something for all sporting interests with an emphasis on waterfowling hunting, related gear and personalities.

Ducks Unlimited has more than 80,000 members in the region and each year Texas sells more than one million hunting licenses. More than 1,000 DU members are expected to attend the annual convention. Officials at The Gaylord Texan expect to host more than 6,000 persons during the 2010 Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Sponsor and exhibitor packages are now available. Exhibitors should contact Clay Connor at 901-758-3844. Sponsor package requests should be directed to Beth Bryan at 901-758-3779. Requests can also be emailed to expo@ducks.org.

With more than a million supporters, Ducks Unlimited is the world's largest and most effective wetland and waterfowl conservation organization and has conserved nearly 13 million acres of waterfowl habitat since its inception in 1937.
