The ASAP Survival Gear line from Mossberg debuted today in Las Vegas at the SHOT Show. The ASAP line is a customizable system of portable self-contained packs and specialized gear that could make the difference between life and death in an emergency situation.

Based on four basic kits, called the ASAP Starter Packs, the prices range from $119 to $500 and can be further customized by the end user to meet specific survival requirements or regional needs. The basic gear, depending on which Starter Pack you select, includes products from such recognized brands as Leatherman, Pur Water Filtration Systems, Black Diamond, Motorola, Garmin and others.

Building on the ASAP Started Pack begins with ASAP Modules with 10 currently offered. Modules cover a wide range of needs from the Natural Disaster Module and Winter Home Survival Module to a Communications Module and a Vehicle Emergency Module. There are even modules geared toward children and pets and, knowing Mossberg, you can expect additional modules in the future.

One of the standout features in each ASAP Starter Pack is a guide and DVD from Dr. Bob Arnot, an expert in the area of disaster preparedness, entitled "Your Survival: Complete Resource for Disaster Planning and Recovery."

The ASAP Survival Gear will be available through Mossberg's new website, ASAPSurvivalGear.com. All four ASAP Starter Packs will be available as well as the 10 ASAP Modules. Additional individual items will also be available to augment and further customer the packs.
