Denver, Colorado--Officials from Orion Entertainment have announced that the RAM Trucks Drive to the Outdoors campaign has been named a finalist for the 2014 Cynopsis Sports Media Awards in the 'Marketing Campaign for Brands' category. The Cynopsis Sports Media Awards honors the top shows, campaigns, and people in the highly competitive sports media industry.
"It is an honor to be nominated as a finalist for such a prestigious accolade with so many powerhouse names in sports," says Orion President Chris Dorsey. "The RAM Trucks Drive to the Outdoors campaign brings together best-in-class content to speak to and with consumers in a key truck sales pillar: the outdoors. It also harnesses television video assets to live on multiple platforms creating channels of communication with consumers without having to share the real estate with competitors. Brands are becoming defacto media marketing companies and controlling their messaging and reach through their own proprietary channels is the next generation of brand empowerment."
By integrating the best in video, writing, and photography, the RAM Trucks Drive to the Outdoors campaign reaches over 50 million consumers in the $76 billion outdoor entertainment industry. The campaign includes 6 television series - RAM Outdoorsman, ATK's Grateful Nation, Winchester Legends, Winchester World of Whitetail, Winchester Rack Masters, and Swarovski Optik Quests - the digital RAM Outdoorsman eZine, print advertising, blogs and social media presence from the RAM Outdoorsman pro staff, and promotional videos.
Joining Orion Entertainment as finalists in the 'Marketing Campaign for Brands' category are Coca Cola - Coke Zero ESPN College GameDay, US Olympic Committee - Road to Sochi Tour, Fed Ex - The Ultimate Caddy, Packaged Sports & Entertainment - EA Sports Madden NFL 25 GMC Test Drive, FedEx - The Ultimate Caddy, and Ogilvy Public Relations - Winning on the Road. Other finalists for various Cynopsis Awards include NBC, CBS, ESPN, FOX Sports, MLB Network, Golf Channel, Turner Sports, NFL, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, AT&T, and dozens of others.
The finalists will be honored at the third annual Cynopsis Sports Media Awards Breakfast on April 17 at the Yale Club in New York City. This must-attend sold-out event among industry insiders honors the outstanding communication initiatives, sports programming, and industry executives. Bonnie Bernstein, Cynopsis VP of Content & Brand Development will emcee the ceremony. Winners will be announced in a special eReport from Cynopsis Sports, distributed to 50,000 executives in sports media.
