Student archers from all over the country have their sights on Kentucky for the 2014 NASP® National Championship.

The largest archery tournament in the world again returns to Louisville Kentucky's Exposition Center. Beginning May 8th at 4:45pm the first of over 10,500 archers will take the range to begin the 11th annual NASP® national tournament. In 2012 this event was certified by Guinness® World Records as the largest archery tournament in the world with 7,804 archers. This year 10,800 archers are registered. The doors will officially open at 3:00pm on Thursday May 8th for the first of three scheduled flights at 4:45PM-8"15PM. Friday; flights are scheduled all day from 8:00am through 8:15pm. Saturday; flights are scheduled from 8:00am through 4:30pm, followed by the tie-breaker, scholarship shoot-off, and the awards ceremony, which are scheduled to begin at 5:00pm. Spectator admission is $5/day.

The participating 4th-12th grade student archers will travel to Louisville from 39 states including Alaska.

Several exhibitors will display their archery, outdoor, and "kid's stuff" throughout the event. Interactive shooting exhibits will provide aerial, pop-up, archery golf, and simulated bowfishing fun.

New this year, in partnership with the International Bowhunting Organization (IBO), a new and exciting event will be held in addition to the standard NASP® National Bulls-eye competition. The NASP® IBO 3-D Challenge will offer opportunity for students to experience the fun of 3-D archery in a NASP®-friendly style at familiar shooting distances and equipment. With their NASP® bows and arrows, archers will shoot 30 scored arrows, at foam animal-like targets for a possible 300 points-just like the NASP® bulls-eye competition.

Many of the NASP® national tournament archers will meet again at the 2014 NASP® World Tournament in Madison Wisconsin, at the Alliant Energy Center, July 11, 12, 13, 2014. Joining them will be their NASP® peers from Canada, Africa, and the United Kingdom.

Immediately following the World Tournament will be the 2014 NASP® All-Nation All-Star Championship, also being held in Madison, Wisconsin, July 14, 15, 16.
