His bio reads like something out of a novel. He was in U.S. Army Intelligence, the U.S. Secret Service, Philadelphia PD Felony Squad, and a private detective in Philadelphia. He wrote a couple of books and his bio from the site selling one of them includes the following: "Rauch is also a writer and lecturer in the firearms field. He is published regularly in national and international publications, including Combat Handguns, Guns & Weapons for Law Enforcement and other Harris Publications specialty magazines, Emap/Petersen's Handguns, Guns & Ammo specialty magazines, S.W.A.T.
