Thanks to a proclamation by Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, anyone may fish in Arkansas without a fishing license or trout stamp from noon Friday, June 6, through midnight Sunday night, June 8.

It has been a half-century since the U.S. Congress and President Nixon first established National Hunting and Fishing Day in 1972. Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has signed a proclamation celebrating the special-interest holiday, as well as underscoring the state’s hunting and angling community as an important economic driver.
Based on updated information and in response to concerns from the commercial Dungeness crab fleet, California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Director Charlton H. Bonham intends to further delay the start date for the California Dungeness crab fishery south of the Mendocino/Sonoma county line.
As of Wednesday, there were 1,614 leftover hunt permit-tags available for general deer hunts, with most of those hunts being for antlered white-tailed deer only in Game Management Units (GMUs) in the southeastern portion of the state.
