Dave Caserio, local writer and educator, is leading a writing workshop at Pictograph Cave State Park on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Pictograph Cave State Park is located just outside of Billings at 3401 Coburn Road.
Visit First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park this month to enjoy the first full moon of spring with a sunset hike on Friday, Mar. 14, 2025. The full moon will rise around 8:15 p.m. that evening after the sun sets at 7:29 pm., and the visitor center gate will be open from 5-9 p.m. for hikers to come out and enjoy the park’s three-mile trail.
Indiana’s Charlestown State Park, in partnership with the Friends of Charlestown State Park, now has its own hiking challenge, encouraging guests to complete all of the property’s seven hiking trails and its 5K cross country course, a total of 16.3 miles.
