As we head toward that exciting time of year, when we start to thaw out from our winter doldrums and hope springs eternal in all of us, the team at Browning Trail Cameras would like to invite you, from near and far, to support the inaugural “Putt Wishes First” Golf Scramble at Greystone Golf & Country Club in Birmingham, AL.
The event was created to support Make-A-Wish Alabama and bring some joy to Wish Kid Braxton Weidman. Braxton is a ray of sunshine to those that know him and this past year, he and his family were informed that he had developed a brain tumor and that it would be a tough fight. But, in true form, Braxton not only was up for the fight, but used his diagnosis to help inspire his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide on to victory and pave the way for an amazing 5-touchdown performance by Najee Harris. Now, while the wheels were in motion for Braxton to make his national television debut on ESPN, Heather Feathers, wife of Browning Trail Cameras Vice-President of Sales Brent Feathers, was already hard at work making arrangements to put on an event to benefit Make-A-Wish Alabama and bring a smile to Braxton’s face this spring…and that’s how the “Putt Wishes First” event was born! Braxton has been close friends with Brent and Heather’s son Reid for years, so after the initial news shocked friends and family, they all decided to unite in hope and help Braxton with his fight as a team.
And that’s how we reached this point, where as a team, we at Browning Trail Cameras wanted to stand together with Brent and Heather and reach out to our outdoor community for support. Historically, the outdoor community has proven itself over and over again to be overwhelmingly supportive of charitable events, so that was one of the many reasons we wanted to make this opportunity available to you. Whether it’s a sponsorship, a product donation, participation in the scramble, or a simple donation, all forms of support will be greatly appreciated.
