We are saddened to announce the death of John K. Fawcett, 65, of Mableton, Georgia. While most who are not industry insiders would recognize John only from his occasional appearances on History Channel's Forgotten Weapons, he was well-known in several branches of the firearms industry, having had a long association with barrelmaker Lothar Walther and Cobb Manufacturing, which he served as Vice President. He consulted with many others. A graduate of the University of Georgia, John was a consummate people person. Deeply knowledgable, his generosity, outgoing personality and ability to connect those he knew made him the friend of some of the biggest names in the industry. He leaves behind his wife Beth, three children, five grandchildren and innumerable friends who will miss him deeply. For information on arrangements, please email wfawcett@cf-firm.com
