“Viewers will have a great opportunity to have their questions answered on the air by Director Eichinger and our talented DNR personnel,” said John Pepin, DNR deputy public information officer. “This is the first time a DNR director has appeared on ‘Ask the DNR.’ Each of these programs allows viewers to learn a good deal of information about a wide range of DNR-related issues affecting the Upper Peninsula.”

The hour-long program will air live at 8 p.m. EDT, Thursday May 21 and be repeated at noon May 22, and available about a week later online.

Scheduled DNR staffers to appear on this month’s program include conservation officer Josh Boudreaux of Marquette, Doug Rich, western Upper Peninsula district parks supervisor, George Madison, fisheries manager and John DePue, wildlife biologist, all three from Baraga.

The panel will likely field questions about the coronavirus and spring and summer recreation activities, including fishing, camping, park events and boating, though the discussion is typically wide-ranging, based on viewer questions.

Prior to the program, questions for “Ask the DNR” can be emailed to John Pepin at pepinj@michigan.gov. Questions emailed should be received by 2 p.m. May 21 to be included on the show.
