Roads closed on some wildlife management areas in Orange, Osceola counties

Because of flooding and road damage associated with Tropical Storm Fay, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has closed roads on four wildlife management areas in Orange and Osceola counties as follows:

- Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area (Orange County) - All roads are closed to vehicular traffic until 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 22.

- Three Lakes Wildlife Management Area (Osceola County) - All roads are closed to vehicular traffic until 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 22.

- Bull Creek Wildlife Management Area (Osceola County) - All roads are closed to vehicular traffic until 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 22.

- Prairie Lakes Wildlife Management Area (Osceola County) - Roads 18 and 19 are closed to vehicular traffic until 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 22.

During road closures, the wildlife management areas are open for foot traffic. The FWC area biologists will reevaluate the roads by 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22 to determine if they can be reopened or if the closure orders need to be extended.
