Buck Knives Announces Two Advancements

Buck Knives announces that two current employees have advanced to new roles within the company’s Marketing Department. Justin Baar has become the new Senior Ecommerce and Digital Marketing Manager, and Katie Swanson has become the company’s new Marketing Communications Manager.

As a member of the Buck Knives’ Management Team, Justin Baar will provide strategic oversight of the company’s eCommerce objectives and digital marketing projects. Baar will also focus efforts on implementing tactics that continually expand Bucks’ market share, enhance product visibility, drive brand preferences, and strive to increase sales through BuckKnives.com, Amazon.com, and other channels.

Baar has been a member of the Buck Knives team for seven years and is a San Diego State University graduate with a BA in Painting and Printmaking. He has also been an Adjunct Professor with San Diego State University and has worked as a graphic designer for a wide range of clients.

As the new Marketing Communications Manager, Katie Swanson will provide the strategic oversight and tactical execution of the company’s marketing plans and deliverables regarding all B2B trade channels. Her efforts and attention to detail in the new position will help define the Buck Knives presence with a wide range of retail partners through communication projects that drive brand awareness and affinity to increase market share. Swanson’s additional duties include creating and managing a consistent brand experience through product merchandising and packaging and written and verbal communications targeted to retailers and customers. Additional duties for Swanson include catalog creation, plus developing print ads, sales flyers, and direct mail pieces. She will also attend tradeshows and focus efforts within the company’s factory store.

Swanson has been employed with Buck Knives for nearly three years and holds a BA degree in Graphic Design from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. Previously, she worked as a Digital Design and Marketing Specialist for Block 22 Hotels and the ECHL Idaho Steelheads.
