Utah: Ride Along With A Conservation Officer on Patrol

What: In order to combat poaching and to protect Utah’s wildlife, DWR conservation officers will be actively patrolling during the opening weekend of the rifle deer hunt — Oct. 23-24 — which is Utah’s most popular hunt.

Reporters and photographers are invited to ride along on patrol with a DWR law enforcement officer. You will hear about the area’s poaching issues, obtain footage of Utah’s amazing wildlife and possibly see our officers in action enforcing the law.

When: Throughout October (call the contact to set up a ride-along)

Where:

  • Central Utah: Wasatch County

  • Southern Utah: Various areas of southern Utah

  • Northern Utah: Summit, Weber and Davis counties
