(Accokeek, MD) - Team Beretta shooters recently achieved 10 podium finishes in 6 different events during several regional competitions, including the 2020 Kansas State FITASC/5-Stand Shoot, 2020 Maryland State Shoot, and 2020 Delaware River Classic and Kolar Cup.
Team Beretta members in attendance at these competitions included Jared Greenwood (Kansas State Shoot), Anthony Matarese (Maryland State Shoot), and Diane Sorantino (Maryland State Shoot/Delaware River Classic).
At the Kansas State Shoot, Greenwood, a junior team member, achieved two junior third-place podium finishes in the FITASC and 5-Stand events with scores of 81/100 and 77/100, respectively.
Concurrently, Matarese, shooting with a standard Beretta DT11 over-and-under, attained four champion podium honors in the main, FITASC, 5-Stand, and preliminary events at the Maryland State Shoot with scores of 95/100, 44/50, 48/50, and 97/100, respectively. Fellow teammate and Team Beretta Captain, Diane Sorantino, obtained a ladies’ champion podium honor in the FITASC event with a score of 37 out of 50 targets.
This past weekend, Sorantino, who shoots with a Beretta A400 Xcel, achieved a ladies’ champion podium honor in the Kolar Cup event at the Delaware River Classic with a score of 94 out of 100 targets, besting her nearest competitor by 12 targets. She also brought home two ladies’ runner-up podium finishes in the main and preliminary events with scores of 90/100 and 47/50, respectively.
Team Beretta shooters will continue their season at the upcoming 2020 Western Regionals in Las Vegas, NV from September 30 to October 4, 2020.
