Oregon Offers Steelhead Fishing Workshops

Steelhead fishing 101

Learn the essential skills you need to catch a steelhead.

Date

You'll learn what you need to know to go steelhead fishing, including how to select the right gear, essential knots, fishing ethics and tips and techniques. Your registration fee includes lunch, use of equipment, and a year-long membership in the Association of NW Steelheaders.

There will be an on-the-water session on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Glen Otto Park from 8 a.m.12:30 p.m.

Young anglers are welcome to participate, but should be at least 10 years old and able to be around water.

This workshop is presented by the experienced steelhead anglers of the Association of NW Steelheaders Sandy River Chapter in partnership with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Register by Oct. 25 for the workshops Nov. 3 and Nov. 10 at Glen Otto Community Park, Sam Cox Bldg, 1106 E Historic Columbia R Hwy in Troutdale.

The fee is Adult $52.00; Youth $22.00
