Weatherby® Unveils the Limited Edition Mark V® Wyoming Commemorative Rifle, the First Rifles To Be Built in New Sheridan Facility.

Sheridan, WY – Weatherby, Inc is nearing the final steps in the move to Sheridan, WY from Paso Robles, California. The announcement of the move was made at SHOT SHOW 2018. Now a year later, Weatherby wants to mark the monumental amount of work that has been going into the move. The Wyoming commemorative has been designed by the team at Weatherby to honor Wyoming and all that the State has done to assist with the move.

There will be two versions of the Wyoming Commemorative rifles, the Gold and the Silver. Both versions will be chambered in the world famous .300 Weatherby Mag and will feature the widely recognizable “Bucking Horse and Rider” beautifully engraved on the floor plate. The highly figured walnut stocks ensures a seamless union between rifle and shooter with its raised-comb Monte Carlo design, right-side palm swell and a custom designed mountain scene integrated into the classic fine line checkering.

A portion of the proceeds for these Wyoming Commemorative rifles are going back to the state of Wyoming:

Adam Weatherby explains, “We have had so many requests about the first guns stamped Sheridan, WY, we thought it only right that the first rifles off the line in Sheridan should be these incredible Mark V Commemorative Rifles. The State of Wyoming and the City of Sheridan have both done so much to help us with our move, we are delighted to ensure that this monumental effort is remembered by Weatherby and our users for years to come!”

Like other Weatherby Mark Vs, the Commemorative comes standard with an LXX™ trigger for a crisp, precise pull that’s critical for long-range accuracy. It also has a fluted bolt body, integral recoil lug, and a 54-degree bolt lift for fast, smooth cycling.
