Columbia, MO – MidwayUSA Foundation is accepting applications for its annual range development grant cycle through April 1. These competitive grants are designed to address a critical need within youth shooting sports: providing safe, modern, and accessible places for young athletes to train and compete.
Since the inception of the program, MidwayUSA Foundation has awarded over $8 million in range development grants to facilities across the nation. This significant investment ensures that the infrastructure of shooting sports evolves alongside the growing number of youth participants. "The expansion of youth shooting sports relies heavily on having a place to shoot," said Pete Eisentrager, MidwayUSA Foundation Executive Director. "Range development grants allow existing facilities to make the necessary improvements or expansions to accommodate more youth-oriented activities, ensuring the next generation has the resources they need to succeed."
Range development grants will be awarded in June.
Key requirements for the 2026 cycle include:
- Funding Limits: Individual grants will not exceed $75,000 or 50% of the proposed project budget.
- Project Timeline: Funds must be utilized within 9 months of receipt.
- Support for Youth: Requesting facilities must be utilized by a MidwayUSA Foundation endowment holder and demonstrate strong support for local youth shooting programs.
- Collaboration: Team and agency endowment holders are encouraged to work closely with their local ranges to identify infrastructure needs and complete the application requirements.
- Award Notifications: Range development grants will be awarded in June.

Applicants must submit their proposals through MidwayUSA Foundation's online application portal by April 1. Detailed requirements, including documentation of project scope and youth impact, can be found on the Foundation's website at midwayusafoundation.org/grants.
