Lawrence, KS — Women For Gun Rights (WGR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Tammy Bartels as its new Director of Operations, reinforcing the organization's commitment to strengthening its national infrastructure as it continues to expand its reach, programs, and advocacy efforts across the country.
As Women For Gun Rights experiences significant growth in membership, state leadership, educational initiatives, and national events, Bartels will play a key role in building the operational foundation needed to support the organization's next chapter.
Bartels is the owner of RBR Training and Consulting, where she provides consulting services to nonprofit organizations, associations, and small businesses while serving as a highly certified firearms instructor dedicated to promoting safe, responsible firearm ownership and personal protection.
With decades of experience in grassroots advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and association management, Bartels has earned a reputation for developing efficient organizations, growing membership engagement, managing complex operations, and supporting volunteer-driven missions.
A longtime advocate for constitutional rights, Bartels previously served on the Board of Directors of the Kansas State Rifle Association, where she helped advance Second Amendment education and advocacy throughout Kansas.
Her leadership experience also includes many years of service with the Kansas Parent Teacher Association (Kansas PTA), culminating in three years as State President. During her tenure, she led statewide initiatives, strengthened local unit support, and worked alongside educators, parents, and elected officials to advance policies benefiting Kansas families.

In her role as Director of Operations, Bartels will oversee the organization's day-to-day operations, strategic initiatives, membership services, communications, event coordination, and organizational development. She will work closely with WGR's leadership team and volunteers nationwide to ensure the organization continues delivering effective advocacy, educational programming, and member engagement.
