The series tells the human stories behind units whose work is rarely seen by the public. Each installment offers a behind-the-badge look at a team's dedication and commitment to serving its community and mastering its craft, showcasing each unit's rigorous training and preparation, strategic operations, and the personal costs that define this line of work.
"The men and women on these teams are the people who commit their lives selflessly to protecting our communities, our loved ones, and our country. They don't do this work for recognition, and most of the time they don't get any," said Buck Pierson, CEO of Staccato.
Staccato is the storyteller and production partner behind the series, building on longstanding relationships with law enforcement professionals and agencies that rely on its pistols.
The first installment, "The Last Call: Miami-Dade," was produced with rare operational access to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Special Response Team. Through interviews with team members, the film examines the demands of their training, the mindset required in high-risk environments, the dynamic of working as a team, the sacrifices asked of their families, and the weight officers carry home at the end of a shift. Among the SRT members featured is Jonathan Menocal, a USPSA Grand Master, certified firearms instructor, and member of Team Staccato, the brand's squad of competitive shooters and tactical professionals.
