An off-duty Oklahoma City police officer was attacked by three men February 15 when he attempted to escort them from a bar. As a result of the attack, Officer Chad Peery suffered fractures in his neck, and is now a quadriplegic. A benefit event is being organized for March 12th during which a raffle and auction will be held to raise money for the Peery family.
Noted gun writer and peace officer Matt Berger was asked to help and he sent a request to his contacts and to Rich Grassi, Editor of our partner outlet, The Tactical Wire. Grassi quickly sent the notice out to friends in the outdoors industry. Within the hour, Colt LE offered to donate an LE6920, their benchmark patrol rifle. Holder of the winning raffle ticket will receive the certificate to redeem for the rifle.
Our thanks go out to Jim Markowski, Director of Law Enforcement Sales & Training, Colt Defense Llc and to Colt.
