"Shooting on the Edge of Science"

NRA Whittington Center located in Raton, Northeast New Mexico is to the finest outdoor recreation, education, and shooting facility in the country. Begun in 2011 Whittington U is the instructional division of the Center which utilizes an educational model in its approach to firearms instruction. Whittington U's focus relies upon real world implementation of the small arms platform regardless if technical long range, or a defensive oriented curriculum.

Whittington U's School of Extreme Long Range Engagements (ELR) III, is truly "Shooting on the Edge of Science." During the three day course students will engage targets from 1,800 yard to 3,200 yards, and culminating in a full 3,520 yard - 2 full mile shot. Whittington U is proud to announce that Billy Carter of Houston, Texas ... successfully engaged a one foot square steel target with his custom made .375 CheyTac M200 Intervention Rifle, not once but two times.
