Job Description: VP of Sales & Marketing

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Sales & Marketing to join our team at Bitterroot Tool & Machine Company /Alpha Loading Systems, a leading manufacturer of commercial ammunition loading equipment. As the VP of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans to drive business growth and increase market share. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong understanding of the ammunition industry, exceptional sales and marketing expertise, and the ability to lead and inspire a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding into new markets and developing strategic partnerships to expand global footprint.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry influencers.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure alignment between customer requirements and product offerings.
  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, advertising, trade shows, and other promotional activities.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and provide regular reports to the executive team.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer-centricity within the sales and marketing teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Reside or has the ability to relocate to the Missoula, Montana area.
  • Proven track record of success in sales and marketing leadership roles, within the ammunition or firearms industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of working with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) guidelines, regulations, and compliance.
  • In depth industry knowledge of commercial ammunition loading equipment and related products.
  • Robust expertise in SEO, ecommerce, websites, and comprehensive marketing strategies
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to drive decision-making.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, marketing automation tools and other relevant sales, and marketing technologies.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet with customers, attend industry events, and visit company locations.
