The Whittington U "Real World Training for Real Life Situations"

From precision long range engagements to defensive oriented courses, the Whittington U has it all. The month of June is a month of diversity with both Precision and Defensive Academy Courses. The Whittington U takes an educational approach towards firearm instruction and focuses on the intent of the firearm platform. Broken down in two academy's, the Whittington U's Defensive Academy and Precision Academy strive to assist all students in building both confidence and a holistic understanding of all the firearm platforms

The Precision Academy is an extremely technical, detail-oriented series of courses that progress through the School of 1000 Yards, to the School of Extreme Long Range emphasizing the cartridge/calibers that are designed for 2000 to 2 mile engagements. The Precision Academy Courses are all inclusive with meals and housing included with dates still available in 2013 for both the School of 1000 Yards and School of Extreme Long Range. So come and shoot with us in the WU Defensive Academy.

The Defensive Academy's School of Practical Pistol and School of Practical Carbine focus on the Defensive Implementation of the Sidearm and Semi-Automatic Rifle Platforms. With a progressive course lineup that begins with the basics in Level I, progressing through Levels II and III and finishing with a series of Master Courses. Everything we do in this program is Defensive in nature and orchestrated around everyday life and realistic scenarios. Whittington U instruction is exclusively presented by Jon Weiler's Professional Marksmen Inc.

The Defensive Academy will have courses in Practical Pistol I from June through mid October and Practical Carbine courses available in July and September. To learn more about Whittington U visit our website at: www.nrawc.org or follow us on Facebook at: www.Facebook.com/WhittingtonU

*The Whittington U would like to note a correction to the 5-2-2013 release
Whittington U "Shooting on the Edge of Science":
*"During this 3 day course students engaged targets from 700 to 3040 yards, culminating with a successful 3650 yard (2.0 7 mile) shot made by Billy Carter of Houston, TX engaging a 12ft x12ft steel target at that distance."
