First National Bank of Omaha honored at DU 85th National Convention

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – July 21, 2022 – At the Ducks Unlimited (DU) 85th National Convention in New Orleans, La., First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) was honored with the DU Corporate Conservation Achievement Award. The award recognizes corporations from the U.S., Canada and Mexico that have made exceptional contributions to conservation in North America.

Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, First National Bank of Omaha has been a Proud Partner in conservation and the official issuer of the Ducks Unlimited Visa Credit Card since 2015. FNBO, founded nearly 165 years ago, is independent and family owned, with over 100 banking locations across the Midwest.

"Ducks Unlimited has been proud to partner with FNBO since 2015," said DU CEO Adam Putnam. "Their success in the financial world and their commitment to conservation are driven by the same key factor – a deeply rooted belief that serving your community is what matters most. It's that very same attitude that DU shares, making FNBO a perfect partner in conservation and an obvious – and deserving – recipient for this award."

Receiving the award on behalf of FNBO was Chairman and President Clark D. Lauritzen, who is the sixth generation of his family to lead the bank.

"FNBO proudly partners with Ducks Unlimited to issue the only credit card that supports wetlands conservation," said Lauritzen. "Conservation and restoration efforts have been very important to my family for generations and this partnership makes it possible for the bank to contribute to DU's mission in a meaningful way."

Throughout its history, FNBO has maintained its commitment to its customers, its nearly 5,000 employees and to a tradition of building strong communities.

"As a family-owned business, FNBO has stayed true to their company's core values," said DU President Chuck Smith. "And those same core values have made supporting conservation and investing in our natural resources an integral part of their corporate culture. We're proud to have FNBO as the official credit card of the ducks, and it is our pleasure to recognize their conservation efforts and present them with our Corporate Conservation Achievement Award."
