Rhode Island House Judiciary Committee AWB Hearing

Rhode Island’s House Judiciary Committee will be holding a hearing to address legislation that will make gun-owners felons and will do nothing to increase public safety. On Wednesday, March 26 at 2 p.m. at the Rhode Island State House, the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing seeking to ban every Modern Sporting Rifles (MSRs) with bill H5436. The turnout of Second Amendment advocates has always been strong and we are asking everyone to again make an appearance, submit testimony or call your representative. Rhode Island already has some of the strictest gun laws in the country but that is not stopping legislators from trying to ban the manufacture, sale and possession of all MSRs in the state.

NSSF® remains focused on pointing out the fact that this bill is a solution in search of a problem. The proposed “assault weapon” bill would ban the most popular firearm in America. Please make every attempt to voice your opposition to the bill.
