The Associate Brand Manager assists with the development of brand and product category plans, projects and initiatives that support the broader short and long-term marketing strategy. They also analyze business performance, manage brand marketing budgets in order to reach growth targets, and manage brand/ product communications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties include the following - other duties may be assigned:
· Managing the tactical execution of the category brand assortment
· Assisting with the development, execution and performance evaluation of marketing programs within assigned brands
· Gathering and analyzing brand and category specific performance data, market growth drivers, and consumer and competitive information to understand consumer trends, support new product pricing, range alignment, pricing management on current items, and to develop business building recommendations
· Assisting in the development of strategic plans and business reviews
· Assisting with financial projections, forecasting, and budgeting process for brands
· Assisting with budgets and financials related to marketing campaigns and associated category business
· Driving and participating in new product development projects
· Supporting Marketing Directors in delivering the growth agenda on assigned brands through identification of new products, line extensions, product development opportunities, brand and sales integration or packaging improvement
· Conducting period brand business analysis to capture growth and share opportunities
· Leading and supporting brand execution plans with internal and external business partners
· Participating in key marketing and sales presentations as necessary
· Working with cross functional teams to gain meaningful insights into business drivers
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience, Competencies and Education
o Bachelors' degree required. MBA desirable
o Minimum of 2-4 years professional experience in firearms and/or related outdoor consumer goods industry preferred; marketing background is essential
o Brand and consumer knowledge, and product management skills required
o Firearms knowledge and use desirable
o Basic understanding of brand positioning, copy strategy, and basic media concepts and terminology
o Process-oriented mindset
o Excellent communication and customer-relation skills
o Strong leadership skills and ability to be diplomatically persuasive / assertive
o Follow-through skills & strong attention to detail
o Exhibit a sense of urgency and independent initiative toward accomplishing objectives

o Exceptional skills in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
