MIDWAYUSA FOUNDATION TEAMS UP WITH REED’S FAMILY OUTDOOR OUTFITTERS AND FEDERAL AMMUNITION TO BRING DAY OF CLAYS – MINNESOTA IN AUGUST
Registration is officially open for MidwayUSA Foundation’s Day of Clays – Minnesota. Held in beautiful Pequot Lakes, Minnesota on August 20, 2022, this sporting clays tournament is a fundraiser to support youth shooting teams. Competitors will shoot 100 targets and have the chance to play side games and win great prizes. Squads of 4 or individuals can now register on MidwayUSA Foundation’s website.
“Reeds Family Outdoor Outfitters is proud to work closely with the MidwayUSA Foundation. The Day of Clays event is a great opportunity to have some fun, support a great cause, and double down on fundraising efforts for our local trap teams,” said Chris Cox of Reed’s Family Outdoor Outfitters. Currently, there are over 2,800 youth shooting teams and 70 organizations that hold an endowment with MidwayUSA Foundation that can receive donations. Over 200 of those teams are located in Minnesota and can be found on the MidwayUSA Foundation website.
While this is a fundraiser to support youth shooting teams, all ages and skill levels are welcome to compete. Day of Clays – Minnesota will offer three shooting classes, including a competitive, intermediate, and hunter class. Winning squads will earn exclusive Day of Clays belt buckles. Every registration dollar is a donation to the youth shooting program of the squad’s choice and will qualify to receive matching funds through MidwayUSA Foundation’s Matching Program. Side game and raffle entries will also qualify.
John Linquist, MidwayUSA Foundation Relationship Manager, spoke about how great partnerships help the future of our industry. “Reeds Family Outdoor Outfitters and Federal Ammunition have a long history of supporting youth shooting sports. Getting the next generation outdoors and connected with nature, hunting, and shooting is critical in their development. Shooting teams provide opportunities for students to make friends, develop confidence, and learn discipline and leadership skills. We look forward to working with both of these organizations well into the future.”
