Columbia, MO – Thousands of youth shooting sports teams are in need of funding to pay for practice rounds, enter competitions, travel to shoots and more. The MidwayUSA Foundation helps communities fund these youth shooting teams and assist with these expenses. On Giving Tuesday, November 27, the MidwayUSA Foundation has a goal to raise $100,000 for youth shooting teams. Every team in their Team Endowment Program has their own earmarked endowment that can receive donations through the MidwayUSA Foundation website. On this one day, the MidwayUSA Foundation will also have $100,000 to match contributions on Giving Tuesday. These matching dollars are possible because of the generosity of Larry and Brenda Potterfield.

Donors can choose the team of their choice to benefit from their donation and 100% of their gift, as well as the match, supports that team. The Foundation keeps nothing for operations, unlike many charities. To better assist teams in asking for donations on Giving Tuesday, the MidwayUSA Foundation has created a downloadableTeam Toolkit. Items in the toolkit can be customized for the shooting team to allow the team to speak directly to their community and ask for support.

Over 3,400 youth shooting teams of all disciplines have a Team Endowment with the MidwayUSA Foundation. Teams are eligible to receive a 5% cash grant each year to assist with shooting team expenses. Donations are tax-deductible and donating through the Foundation website is safe and secure. Donors always receive a tax receipt.
