Members of the Michigan Natural Resources Commission will be available to meet with the public Thursday, September 12 in Marquette. The commissioners will be at the “My Place” restaurant, lower level, inside of the Holiday Inn, 1951 US 41 West, Marquette, from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
Part of the commission's "Coffee with the Commissioners" program, this gathering will be a great opportunity for area residents to sit down with commissioners over a cup of coffee and share their thoughts, suggestions and concerns about Michigan's natural resources.
"It's important that we give Michigan residents across the state every chance to hear from them on the management, accessibility and long-term future of Michigan's natural resources and outdoor recreation opportunities," said NRC Chair Vicki Pontz.
"This is just one more way we're working to make it easier for Michigan's sportsmen and women to better connect with us," Pontz said. "We're hoping for a good turnout and look forward to having some real conversation about our state's world-class woods, waters and wildlife."
The commission will hold its regular monthly meeting later that day, starting at 12:30 p.m. at NMU’s Northern Center in Ballroom 1. The meeting’s agenda is available on the Michigan Natural Resources Commission webpage.
