Fairfax, Va. - The National Rifle Association is pleased to announce that media credentialing for its 150th annual meeting in Houston, Sept. 3 -5, is now open.
The event, to be held at the George R. Brown convention center, will feature a bigger-than-ever exhibit hall with more than 800 exhibitors and acres of the latest guns, knives, optics, ammo and accessories available. In addition, NRA-ILA will host its Leadership Forum where some of our nation’s most influential lawmakers, thinkers, and 2A advocates will speak.
What you need to know:
- Press interested in covering the event must be credentialed.
- Separate credential applications must be submitted for the general event and the ILA Leadership Forum.
- TV outlets that need cameras inside the Leadership Forum should submit credentials ASAP as they will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Space is extremely limited inside the Leadership Forum. To accommodate all outlets, NRA will live-stream the forum from inside the press room.
- Media credentialing will close Friday, Aug. 27th. All media outlets who wish to cover the event must submit credential applications by that date.
- NRA will be emailing credential verifications beginning in August.
- The press room will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, hours will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Upon arrival, media must check in at the press room first — which will be well-marked.
- Media must present valid ID and proof of employment (press credentials) in order to receive NRAAM credentials.
- Due to limited space and resources, foreign media will not be credentialed.
