Classification provides a structure for para competition. The classification system is designed to determine eligibility and group athletes according to their impairment to create a level playing field. Classifiers go through extensive training and are certified by World Archery to carefully determine whether athletes qualify for para competition. Archers wishing to compete in the Para division at USA Archery sanctioned tournaments are required to be classified.
Visit the USA Archery Para Classification webpage to learn how to prepare for and apply for a classification appointment by submitting a National Medical Intake and Classification Request Form and to review the USA Archery National Classification Policies and Procedures.
