Whitetails Unlimited has committed $15,000 to continue the WTU Whitetail Watch Initiative which brings the 3-year total spent on this initiative to $50,000. The initiative is an anti-poaching campaign that WTU started as a pilot program in Wisconsin and has since expanded nationwide. There will be a total of 24,000 Whitetail Watch anti-poaching signs printed. Signs will be available at each WTU event as well as through the National Headquarters.
Whitetails Unlimited has always been a strong supporter of anti-poaching activities. Poaching is a crime that steals from everyone, hunter and nonhunter alike. The signs encourage anyone who sees suspicious activity to report it to the their proper wildlife law enforcement agency. Illegally harvesting game not only takes away recreational opportunity to law abiding sportsman, but can also negatively impact wildlife populations.
Complementary Whitetail Watch Signs can be requested by calling Whitetails Unlimited National Headquarters at 800-274-5471.
