Taurus GX4 Family Wins “Best Value Handgun” from Ballistic Magazine

Bainbridge, GA – It’s been a good year for Taurus USA’s products. The GX4 family of pistols, which includes the standard GX4, the GX4 T.O.R.O., the GX4XL and its T.O.R.O. model just won Ballistic Magazine’s Best Value Handgun award. The Editor’s Select Best Value Handgun winner goes to the gun that delivers the best combination of features and price point, so of course the GX4 family was the logical selection.

At Taurus USA, we’re dedicated to making reliable pistols for American gun owners. The fact that they’re affordable is just a side benefit of our lean manufacturing processes and efficient operations. The GX4 family is the perfect example of that process. Its MSRP ranges from $429 to $469, so it checks the “affordable” box right out of the gate. Then it checks the reliability box, since every GX4 made in Bainbridge, GA is test fired at our factory before shipping to our customers.

Price? Check. Reliability? Check. How about features? Every GX4 family features a new trigger system from previous polymer framed Taurus pistols. The GX4 trigger is lighter, has a shorter length of travel, and a reset that’s to die for. All the GX4 pistols come with interchangeable backstraps, so you can adjust the size of the palmswell to perfectly form to your hand. The guns are also textured by shooters for shooters – the grip has traction where you want it, and is smooth where it should be smooth. Want to maximize concealability? Run the flush fitting 11 round magazine. Or, pop in the 13 round pinky extension magazine, and make the GX4 shoot like a full size pistol.

Some people see the word “value” and think of “great value” generic brands. We’re the opposite of that. Our value comes from delivering a reliable, affordable pistol to people who need one. So we’ll wear the Best Value Handgun award from Ballistic with pride.
