(Accokeek, MD) Team Beretta shooters recently achieved 5 podium honors at the 2019 World FITASC Championship hosted at E.J. Churchill Shooting Grounds in London, England.
Team Beretta members in attendance at this competition included Desirae Edmunds, Joseph Fanizzi, Diane Sorantino, Dominic Gross, Meagan Sorantino, Jared Greenwood, Anthony Matarese, and Zachary Kienbaum.
Edmunds, who shoots with a Beretta DT11 L, secured a third-place podium honor in the ladies FITASC event with a score of 172 out of 200 targets.
Sorantino and Edmunds topped the podium as a part of the Ladies USA team for a combined score of 502 out of 600 targets.
Fanizzi, shooting with an A400 Xcel Sporting Black Edition, achieved his first Junior World FITASC Champion gold medal with his exceptional performance with a score of 185 targets out of 200. This competition marks only his second international appearance as a part of Team Beretta and his second consecutive international medal with a champion podium honor in the junior division at the 2019 British Grand Prix FITASC Sporting Championship.
Gross, who shoots with a standard Beretta DT11, and Fanizzi secured a gold medal for the Junior USA team, which marks the fifth international gold medal that Gross has won as a part of the junior team representing the United States.
Harrington, who competes with a Beretta 692 Black, and Sorantino tied for fifth-place in the ladies event. This competition marks Harrington’s first international appearance as a junior Team Beretta shooter.
Greenwood, Matarese, and Kienbaum battled against some tough competitors and turned in strong performances, but did not make podium appearances.
Team Beretta shooters will continue their season at next week’s 2019 World English Sporting Championship at Northbrook Shooting Club in Hainesville, IL.
